Why do you need a survey?

At Assurvey, we understand the pressures involved in any house move and we’re here to help you make an informed decision, whether you are buying a new home, selling a family home in difficult circumstances or moving up the ladder by repaying your Government Help to Buy Loan or selling you share in a shared equity property.

Cash buyers receive peace of mind that their proposed purchase is structurally sound and a reasonable investment.

Purchasers with a mortgage gain information unlikely to be received from their lender (many property valuations for lending purposes are done remotely and the property is often not inspected by a bank appointed surveyor).  A mortgage offer is not a guarantee that the property is in good order.

We also carry out RICS “Red Book” property valuations for legal requirements including matrimonial, probate and tax matters.

Help to Buy reports to repay your government equity loan are a speciality and Assurvey’s reports are fully compliant with the Help to Buy agency requirements.
